A Wide Selection of Chinese Buffet Favorites

Popular Dishes and Flavorful Options

Public Buffet is known for its diverse selection of dishes that represent familiar Chinese-American cuisine. The buffet format allows diners to explore different flavors in a single visit, making it an appealing choice for groups with varied preferences.

Among the most popular items are fried shrimp, appreciated for their crispy texture and savory taste. Coconut shrimp adds a slightly sweet variation, creating a balanced flavor when paired with dipping sauces. Dishes like chicken with mushrooms offer a more traditional combination, blending tender meat with earthy ingredients.

Soups and Comfort Food Choices

Service Expectations and Dining Experience

Customer feedback on service varies, which is common for buffet-style establishments. Some guests report attentive and friendly service, while others mention less positive experiences during busy periods.

Understanding this variation can help set realistic expectations. Visiting during quieter hours often leads to a more relaxed and consistent experience, while peak times may result in faster-paced service.

What customers say about us

Okay, let's be real. It's there REALLY a good Chinese place? Each place is debatable but we do really like this buffet for the take your options, and some of their staple stuff is just really good. Besides. This is the only buffet I've found in Baldwin that can make the garlic green beans correctly. Bonus, they sometimes do lumpia or spring rolls instead of just egg rolls.

The food was delicious, I really liked the sweet and sour chicken, the cabbage and shrimp was also excellent. Everything was so clean and full. I love a buffet that keeps the food offerings hot and full. Today was seafood heavy. My mom is a vegetarian and there was Plenty to choose from.

The ladies that attend to us are very sweet. They work very hard cleaning and preparing for the next customers. Delicious food. Reasonably priced buffet. We have found this restaurant to be cleaner with a broader variety of freshly prepared dishes than the Asian buffet restaurants in Foley. Congratulations.

Having been to every other Chinese buffet around here, this one was surprising. The staff were genuinely nice and attentive. Despite not being busy, all the food was fresh. And while they had less to choose from, compared to other places, it all seemed of higher quality. Another plus would be the cleanliness. It didn't have the "I don't know if I want to touch that" atmosphere most other buffets have. Definitely going to be my go-to place whenever I'm in the mood for a buffet.
